‘We will continue resistance movement at any cost’: Pakistani political leader vows to follow path of martyred leader

A senior Pakistani political leader has declared unwavering commitment to the resistance movement, vowing to continue the struggle at any cost in solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Hawzah News Agency- Senator Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri, head of Pakistan’s Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, made the remarks during a ceremony in Islamabad commemorating the martyrdom of Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the late Leader of the Islamic Revolution. The event was organized by the Council of Ahlulbayt Scholars of Pakistan and was attended by prominent religious and political figures.

“We have set foot on the path of our martyred leader and will continue the resistance movement at any price, carrying this struggle forward to the last drop of blood,” Jafri declared.

He described the ongoing war between Iran and the Israeli regime as a battle between truth and falsehood, faith and disbelief, stressing that “silence in this battle is a cardinal sin.”

Jafri further emphasized the continuation of peaceful popular struggles across Pakistan in support of the oppressed in Palestine, Hezbollah, Ansarullah, and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

He attributed Iran’s strength and steadfastness on the global stage to the system of Velayat-e Faqih and the socio-political role of the Shia school of thought. “We must increase our efforts to revive this role in Pakistan,” he said.

Hojatoleslam Syed Hassanain Abbas Gardezi, head of the Council of Ahlulbayt Scholars, strongly condemned certain Islamic countries for placing their bases at the disposal of the United States, describing such actions as enmity against the Quran and Islam and a clear manifestation of hypocrisy. He called for the immediate removal of those bases.

Gardezi urged the Pakistani government to stand alongside the Islamic Republic in this battle between truth and falsehood, to end US hegemony, and to rid the country of foreign influence.

Hojatoleslam Syed Altaf Kazmi, representative of Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Mohammad Yaqubi’s office in Pakistan, highlighted the atmosphere of Shia-Sunni unity following the martyrdom of the late Leader and called for a joint strategy among scholars of various denominations to confront the challenges ahead. He stressed that responding to current challenges is only possible through the unity of the Islamic Ummah and a shared roadmap.

Syed Nasir Abbas Shirazi, a senior member of Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, condemned the US-Zionist aggression against Iran’s sovereignty as a flagrant violation of international law. “The United States will suffer its worst defeat in this war. Washington’s calculations were mistaken, and it is now trapped in this conflict,” he stated. “The key role in ending or continuing the war lies with Iran, and Iran will not end this war until a final outcome is reached.”

The gathering also expressed full support for the leadership of Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, reaffirming allegiance to him and vowing to continue the path of the martyrs.

The Council of Ahlulbayt Scholars thanked scholars from various denominations and political and social figures who have voiced support for the Islamic Republic through media platforms, and emphasized the continuation of the struggle to solidify Ummah unity and end US domination in Pakistan.
